Practicing in Dubuque, you will discover a close-knit medical community that trusts and respects your training and expertise. DEP has an excellent working relationship with hospital administration. All members of DEP are actively involved in hospital committees.
Our practice was started in 1985 and continues to expand and improve. We are ready to add a seventh partner as soon as practical. Interested Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians are encouraged to register and learn more about DEP and what we have to offer.

Began 1985, as first democratic residency trained and ABEM/AOBEM group in the state.
-First Department of Emergency Medicine in State of Iowa.
-Continuous operation with Department status and representation.
6.5 FTEs as equal partners replacing .5 FTE partner who is retiring with fulltime partner after ONE year of employee status.

The city lies at the junction of 3 states: Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, a region locally known as the Tri-State Area. It serves as the main commercial, industrial, educational, and cultural center for the area. Dubuque is the oldest city in Iowa, and played a key role in the early settlement of the state, and the Upper Midwest. For this reason, it is commonly called the "Key City."
